The fashion industry has been changing dynamically since the start of time. It might be difficult to believe, but the notion of modeling as an occupation was thought ludicrous at a time. Women such as Pattie Boyd and Twiggy who shaped in the 1960s were not as significant as the new ones. It was not until the 1970s that models began to seem to have the effect and popularity of the name they presently have. Go on a ride through history to learn who in vivid decades was the greatest supermodel.
1980: Brooke Shields
Brooke Shields began as a young actor who became famous for his appearance in the 1978 film Pretty Baby as a child prostitute. She wrote in 1980 in the audacious Calvin Klein publicity, “You want to see what happens between me and my Calvins? Nothing.” At one time, she was Vogue’s youngest model.
Shields was also a good actress who appeared in a variety of films and television shows. She took a break in 1983 to Princeton University and received her Bachelor of Languages degree in Romance.
