Getting undressed on camera is something Hollywood stars have lots of stories about. No matter if they are playing in a choreographed love scene or have in shower, many well-known actors and actresses have been seen without clothes at some point. We’d like to make it clear that we are in no way trying to advocate for people to be pressured into playing in such scenes if they’re uncomfortable with it, or for films to objectify women. But suppose everyone who is involved in the process is on the same page. In that case, bareness can be an important instrument in cinematography. Also, we all love hearing what the celebs have to say about the process.
Many actors have shared their experience of being filmed undressed, but their impressions are sometimes entirely different. That’s not surprising at all. For example, Jason Segel’s funny full-frontal bareness in the movie called Forgetting Sarah Marshall was nothing like Michael Fassbender’s intense performance in Shame, in which he played the role of a person with mental health issues.
And the same type of scenes for women had to undergo even more drastic changes. Many women are now restoring their right to display themselves after a lasting tradition of objectification and exploitation by men. Jennifer Lawrence lately talked about her decision to fully undress in the movie called Red Sparrow. After her personal photos were stolen and posted four years before, she embraced the chance to show her body on her terms.
